Today I Am Walking My Talk!!!!!

As I sit in the car and watch the snow continue to fall I had an "AHA" moment.. For the longest I had very little faith in "ME". I had very little ambition, I wouldn't exactly say I was lazy, you know what! I can't let the EGO get in the way, so let me keep it real. Let me rephrase that comment, Yes I can say I was lazy, My mind was always going and I was always saying what I was going to do, but I was lazy with my actions, because I would never do it.. I wasn't walking my talk..

I guess I'm sitting here thinking about this because everyone know I hate driving in the snow and I'm not a fan of the cold.. When the weather change I go into hibernation, but today is a little different.. I decided I was going to introduce myself to 20 Woman business owners today. I woke up at 5:00 AM and looked out the window and thought "no way am I going out in that". It was snowing way to hard, so I continued to do some cleaning around the house and I thought, well what else would I be doing if I don't go and I couldn't think of one thing really worth doing that would benefit my "GROWTH". So I hit the shower fixed my breakfast and was on my way. When I started driving I realized it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was and although, I didn't meet with 20 woman before it really started coming down, I actually met with 11. Then I began to think, maybe it's time to go home.

My point Keepers is Walk Your Talk and let nothing hold you back.. If you know you want to do something  just do it..

Today I am walking my TALK!!!

Beginning Today By Keeper Belinda Storey

Beginning today. . .I will no longer worry about yesterday. It is in the past and the past will never change. Only I can change by choosing to do so.
Beginning today. . .I will no longer worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will always be there, Waiting for me to make the most of it. But I cannot make the most of tomorrow Without first making the most of today. Beginning today. . .I will look in the mirror and I will see A person worthy of my respect and admiration. This capable woman looking back at me Is someone I enjoy spending time with And someone I would like to get to know better. Beginning today. . .I will cherish each moment of my life.

I value this gift bestowed upon me In this world and I will unselfishly share This gift with others. I will use this gift to enhance the lives of others. Beginning today. . .I will take a moment to step off the beaten path And to revel in the mysteries I encounter. I will face challenges placed before me With courage and determination. I will overcome the barriers that may hinder My quest for growth and self-improvement. Beginning today. . .I will take life one day at a time, One step at a time.Discouragement will not be allowed to taint My positive self-image,my desire to succeed Or my capacity to love. Beginning today. . .I walk with renewed faith in human kindness. Regardless of what has gone before,
I believe there is hope For a brighter and better future. Beginning today. . .I will open my mind and my heart. I will welcome new experiences. I will meet new people.  will not expect perfection from myself nor anyone else,
Perfection does not exist in an imperfect world. Rather, I will applaud the attempt to overcome human foibles. Beginning today. . .I am responsible for my own happiness And I will do things that make me happy . . . Admire the beautiful wonders of nature; Listen to my favorite music; Pet a kitten or a puppy; Soak in a bubble bath . . .Pleasure can be found in the most simple of gestures. Beginning today. . .I will learn something new;

I will try something different; I will savor all the various flavors life has to offer. I will change what I can and the rest I will let go. I will strive to become the best me I can possibly be. Beginning Today…….

I AM WILLING TO LET GO~~~~

Believe the best about yourself.
Remember, feelings of inadequacy start with negative thoughts that we have about ourselves. However, these thoughts have no power over us unless we act upon them. Thoughts are only words strung together. They have no meaning whatsoever. Only we give meaning to them, and we do so by focusing on the negative messages over and over again in our minds. We believe the worst about ourselves. And we choose what kind of meaning we give to them.
We’re always perfect, always beautiful, and ever-changing. We’re doing the best we can with the understanding, knowledge and awareness that we have. As we grow and change more and more, our “best” will only get better and better.
Say to Yourself: “I am willing to let go. I release. I let go. I release all tension. I release all fear. I release all anger. I release all guilt. I release all sadness. I let go of old limitations. I let go, and I am at peace. I am at peace with myself. I am at peace with the process of life. I am safe.” Repeat it whenever thoughts of difficulty come up. It takes a little practice for the routine to become a part of you. Once you’re familiar with this , you can do it anywhere at any time. You will be able to relax complete in any situation.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, AND REMEMBER THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Believe in Yourself, and Remember that Anything Is Possible Believe in what makes you feel good. Believe in what makes you happy. Believe in the dreams you've always wanted to come true, and give them every chance to. Life holds no promises as to what will come your way. You must search for your own ideals and work towards reaching them. Life makes no guarantees as to what you'll have. It just gives you time to make choices and to take chances and to discover whatever secrets might come your way. If you are willing to take the opportunities you are given and utilize the abilities you have, you will constantly fill your life with special moments and unforgettable times. No one knows the mysteries of life or its ultimate meaning, but for those who are willing to believe in their dreams and in themselves, life is a precious gift in which anything is possible.

Black Girls Rock!!!

This week I decided to honor the lovely "Beverly Bond" the founder of Black Girls Rock! Inc. If you missed the show, you missed a lot. Let me start by telling you a little bit about the foundation.

ABOUT BLACK GIRLS ROCK!:
BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc. is 501(c)3 non-profit youth empowerment and mentoring organization established to promote the arts for young women of color, as well as to encourage dialogue and analysis of the ways women of color are portrayed in the media.

Since 2006, BLACK GIRLS ROCK! has been dedicated to the healthy development of young women and girls. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! seeks to build the self-esteem and self-worth of young women of color by changing their outlook on life, broadening their horizons, and helping them to empower themselves. For the past four years, we have enjoyed the opportunity to enrich the lives of girls aged 12 to 17 years old through mentorship, arts education, cultural exploration and public service. At BLACK GIRLS ROCK!, young women are offered access to enrichment programs and opportunities that place special emphasis on personal development through the arts and cooperative learning.
By speaking to the next generation in their formative years about issues of self-worth, goals, and aspirations, the organization reinforces the message that young women need not objectify themselves or relinquish their autonomy. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! has boldly taken on the crisis of our female youth of color here in America head on and understands the need for positive self-images and a strong sense of awareness. WE SEE SOLUTIONS.

As you can see this foundation is more than just an Award Show on BET.. Going forward they will need not only our love, but financial support. Yes I said financial support. Sometimes we are good at showing our support by watching or making comments, but we are horrible at actually giving our time and financial backing. It's time to be the change that we wish to see..

Take A Walk With Me!!!

Take a walk with me my sisters and lend me your ears.
We were never promised a life without struggles or a life without tears.
Sometimes we will go through things that make life seem real dim
But it is at this time that you have to find peace within

Did you know that God Is truly within YOU?
And no one can hurt the God within YOU
But the Key to talking to him, is not just when your in need
Every morning that you wake up To HIM YOU SHOULD SPEAK
Show him a little Gratitude for the things that he has done
because without him none of your battles you would have won

By no means am I hear to preach to you
I just want to share with you a couple of things that GOT ME THROUGH
